It is vital that you provide clear unambiguous information with regard to the examinations you wish to be entered for. This means correct unit codes AND (where relevant) option details. Please note - if information supplied by prospective candidates is missing or in any way misleading or ambiguous, the entry will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure they have given us the correct details.
Candidates must provide us with photographic identification either in the form of a passport or a driving licence. This must be brought to the examination with them. Students International may not allow candidates to take examinations with them if they do not provide identification on the day.
Payment may be made by cash, cheque or credit/debit card (2.5% surcharge). Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Refunds will not be issued in the event of cancellation, unless written notice of withdrawal (either by post or via e-mail to studentsint@aol.com) is received before our deadline for normal entries. No refunds will be issued to candidates who are charged late entry fees.
Students International will not enter candidates for examinations unless full payment has been received. The company will also not reserve spaces for candidates unless payment has been received. Deferred payments or instalments will not be accepted under any circumstances. Candidates who have filled out an application form do not have a confirmed slot in an exam unless payment has been taken.
If additional units / subjects are required after the initial registration of entries, the initial entry will not be altered until the additional units/subjects are paid for in full.
On occasion, there may not be sufficient candidates for ESOL examinations (KET/PET/FCE/CAE) to take place as the examination board insist on a minimum number of candidates sitting the exam during separate sessions. In this situation, the candidate would be refunded any examination fees that they have paid, and offered help to rearrange the examination either at another centre, or on a different date.
If a candidate requires special access requirements, these must be requested for at the time of registration. These must also be supported by valid and in date documentation. We will not accept applications for special access of candidates who provide us with out of date documentation. We cannot guarantee to accept any requests for access arrangements if the request is made after the initial registration of examination entries.(Except in circumstances in which the candidate could not have known that arrangements would be needed e.g. A personal injury resulting in a broken arm the week before the exam).
We must meet awarding body deadlines for registering access arrangements. There will be no refund of entry fees in the event of subsequent cancellation if candidates have not informed us of access needs in adequate time.
Clashes between examinations taking place solely at Students International will be resolved by the Examinations Officer and will be indicated clearly on the Statement of Entry when you receive it. If a candidate is taking examinations in other centres in the same examination period, the candidate must inform us at the time of registration so that we can deal with clashes effectively. Students International accepts no responsibility if candidates do not inform us, and entry fees will not be refunded if candidates cannot attend an exam because of clashes under these circumstances.

All candidates should understand that a centre is under no obligation to accept a private candidate. Examination boards will not intervene if a centre refuses to accept an individual as a candidate at their centre. Students International reserves the right to decide whether to accept any particular candidate as an external examination candidate. The Company is not obliged to provide a reason as to why an application may have been refused. Any decision we make will be final, and non-negotiable.
